Before every round or practice session you must stretch out the muscles to decrease the possibility of injury as golf is a game of twisting and turning your complete body. The easiest stretching exercise to do prior to swinging the club is shown in the pictures below.
Picture 1- First take your driver and place it arms length away while taking your golf stance and keeping your knees straight. Put both hands on the top of the grip so your arms are straight.
Picture 2- Bend at the waist keeping your arms and knees straight with your head between and level to your arms, hold this position for 5 seconds. Return to the original position. Repeat this 3 or 4 times.
This exercise will stretch your entire body without bouncing and twisting. You should feel your shoulders, arms, back and legs stretched when you are done. If you can’t put your head all the way between your arms, only go half way. Always consult your physician before doing any exercise.
